After hanging up his boots, Michael Owen has become a prominent figure in the media and the ex-Manchester United regularly shares his views on social media website Twitter. Ronaldo goal v Roma strikingly similar to goal he scored for Man United years previous

Cristiano Ronaldo's opening goal in Real Madrid's 2-0 Champions League victory over Roma on Wednesday evening bore a striking resemblance to a goal he'd scored earlier in his career for Manchester United. The discovery was made yesterday thanks to an eagle-eyed user of the popular social networking site Reddit. Executing his trademarked 'Ronaldo chop' move, the 31-year-old cut inside the Roma defence to score a deflected shot that looped over the helpless Wojciech Szczesny.
