Arsenal were held at home to a frustrating goal-less draw against Sunderland this afternoon and missed the chance to close the gap to just one point behind league leaders Manchester United. Chelsea kept their domestic season alive thanks to a second-half comeback against current league leaders Manchester United at Stamford Bridge this evening. Despite taking the lead thanks to a venemous Wayne Rooney strike in the first period, Manchester United were unable to hold a one goal lead and eventually lost the tie 2-1 after second-half goals from David Luiz and Frank Lampard. New striker Daniel Sturridge was on target yet again for his new club as his goal helped Bolton Wanderers to a 2-0 home win over Everton this afternoon. England won a tightly-fought contest in Copenhagen after coming from behind thanks to goals in either half from Darren Bent and Ashley Young. Fabio Capello's men vindicated their last 4-1 defeat over Denmark back in 2005 with a confident display and 2-1 victory in front of their travelling fans at the Parken Stadion tonight.
