Newcastle United face competition from Spanish giants for attacker

According to the agent of Newcastle United target Lucas Perez, Sevilla are keen on signing the Spanish attacker.

Arsenal signed Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna last summer for a fee of around £17million but the striker was never really given the opportunity to show his true worth by manager Arsene Wenger.

With Arsenal now having splashed £52million to acquire the services of Alexandre Lacazette, Perez has been made available for a transfer this summer and newly promoted Newcastle United have strongly been linked with the 28-year-old.

However, a move back to Spain is also a possibility for Perez and his agent has gone on to confirm that giants Sevilla are currently considering a move for the prolific attacker.

He said, “Two clubs in Spain have already contacted Perez for a transfer, Sevilla also want to sign him, and a German team and Fenerbahce are negotiating to sign the player.”

In addition, Goal have gone on to confirm that Perez has handed an official transfer request at Arsenal and the Gunners have placed a £13.4million asking price on the player.
