Barcelona legend Ronaldinho thinks that Philippe Coutinho would be the ideal candidate to replace Neymar at the Camp Nou this summer.
Neymar has shocked the footballing world with his desire to leave Barcelona this summer and it is now widely expected that the Brazilian superstar will be leaving the Catalan giants to join Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain in a whopping £198million deal.
It goes without saying that replacing a player of Neymar’s stature will surely be a tough task for Barcelona even if they are set to receive a record breaking fee for the attacker but one name who has widely been touted as capable of filling in the void set to be left by the 25-year-old is Philippe Coutinho.
Now Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has gone on to have his say regarding Neymar’s potential replacement at the Camp Nou and has backed his former side to sign Coutinho from Liverpool this summer.
Ronaldinho said, “There are only very few players in the world who can replace Neymar – and I have said that I think Coutinho could play for them.
“He is at a level where he could come and fill the gap left by Neymar – but Liverpool will know his worth and after the fees of this summer it will cost Barcelona.”
