Barcelona managed to return to winning ways in emphatic fashion after claiming a fine 4-1 victory over rivals Espanyol in the midweek Copa Del Rey encounter and it would certainly have been very pleasing for the fans to see their team getting back to their best.
Now Barcelona will be looking to claim a victory in La Liga as well in order to reclaim top spot from Atletico Madrid and with a clash against struggling Granada up next, Luis Enrique’s men are expected to coast their way to victory on Saturday.
Injury Doubts: Rafinha, Sergi Roberto
Barcelona Probable Lineup: Bravo; Vidal, Pique, Mascherano, Jordi Alba; Arda Turan, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta; Neymar, Suarez, Messi
Just when it looked like Granada had managed to turn a corner with their fantastic 2-1 victory over Sevilla last weekend, they went on to suffer a humiliating 4-0 loss against Valencia in the midweek Copa Del Rey encounter.
In all fairness though, manager Jose Sandoval did rest a couple of his regulars for the game against Valencia and too much should not be taken into the final result.
Now Granada prepare for a daunting trip to the Nou Camp to square off against Barcelona and the match will be the real litmus test to judge their credentials to stave off the drop this season.
Injury Doubts: Yrondu Musavu-King, Piti, Thievy Bifouma
Granada Probable Lineup: Fernández; Lombán, Mainz, Foulquier, Dória; Krhin, Pérez, Méndez, Rochina; Peñaranda, Success
Barcelona managed a stunning 6-0 victory over Granada in the corresponding fixture last season and it would not be a surprise if the clash on Saturday produced a similar result.
While Granada proved that they can cause an upset by beating Sevilla last time out, Barcelona out class the minnows in every department and should be able to grab a comfortable win.
Barcelona 4 – 0 Granada
