Barcelona vs Celta Vigo: Preview, Predicted Lineups and Prediction

Barcelona News

Barcelona safely sealed their place into the final of the Copa Del Rey with a comfortable 1-1 draw against Valencia at the Mestalla on Wednesday night and manager Luis Enrique would have been pleased with the result as he had fielded basically his second string team on the night.

Now Enrique is sure to revert back to his strongest side as a dangerous Celta Vigo pay a visit to the Nou Camp on Sunday night and it will be of paramount importance for the Catalans to continue their winning run in La Liga in order to stave off competition from the Madrid sides.

Injury Doubts: Lionel Messi, Rafinha

Barcelona Probable Lineup: Bravo, Dani Alves, Pique, Macherano, Alba; Sergio Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic; Turan, Suarez, Neymar

Celta Vigo Club News

Celta Vigo looked like they could muster up an unlikely charge for the La Liga title with a fine start to the season but a slump in recent times has seen Eduardo Berizzo’s men slip down to 7th place in the table. In addition, Celta have been knocked out of the Copa Del Rey semi final as well recently after suffering defeat to Sevilla.

Despite their recent poor form, Celta are right in contention to earn a Champions League finish this season but their winless streak is likely to be extended this weekend as they face a daunting trip to the Nou Camp to square off against the rampant Barcelona side.

Injury Doubts: Andreu Fontas, Nolito, Fabian Orellana (Suspended), Iago Aspas (Suspended), Sergi Gomez (Suspended), Theo Bongonda (Suspended)

Celta Vigo Probable Lineup: Sergio Álvarez; G. Cabral, Planas, Fontas, Jonny Castro; D. Wass, P. Hernández, Sene, N. Radoja; C. Beauvue, Guidetti

Prediction

Celta Vigo had claimed a sensational 4-1 victory over Barcelona in the corresponding fixture earlier on in the campaign but a repeat result looks very unlikely this time around.

Barcelona simply look unstoppable at the moment and they should be able to claim a comfortable victory over a Celta side missing a host of their key players.

Barcelona 2 – 0 Celta Vigo
