Levante vs Barcelona: Preview, Predicted Lineups and Prediction

Venue: Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, Valencia

Date: 07/02/2016

Kick-off: 11:00 AM GMT / 06:00 AM EST

Match

Levante News

Levante were considered as one of the favourites for the drop this season and unsurprisingly, the Valencia-based outfit have endured a very difficult season so far.

Rooted to the foot of the table, Levante look like certainties for relegation this season and manager Rubi will be well aware of the fact that his side are running out of time.

Despite the doom and gloom, Levante have managed a respectable 2 victories in their last 3 La Liga matches and the minnows will know that they need to put in their best performance in order to claim anything this weekend as the mighty Barcelona come to town.

Injury Doubts: Víctor Casadesús , Rubén García, Pedro López, José Mari

Levante Probable Lineup: Marino; Tono, Trujillo, Feddal, Lopez, Junior, Verza, Morales, Lerma, Rossi, Ghilas

Barcelona News

Barcelona are looking frighteningly brilliant in recent weeks and the 7-0 drubbing of Valencia was another in a long line of extremely impressive performances from the Catalan giants this season.

While their form has been quite extraordinary, Barcelona cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal anytime soon as things are very congested at the top of the La Liga table and one can be sure that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be ready to pounce on any mistake which the Catalan giants make.

Up next for Barcelona is a clash away to bottom side Levante and although Luis Enrique’s men are overwhelming favourites to claim a victory, they will have to work hard in order to earn the three points.

Injury Doubts: Rafinha

Barcelona Probable Lineup: Bravo; Alba, Pique, Mascherano, Vidal; Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta; Suarez, Neymar, Messi

Prediction

Barcelona have beaten Levante with at least a three goal margin in their last five encounters and it would be very difficult to bet against another comprehensive victory for the Blaugrana once again.

Levante will surely look to put up a strong fight but Barcelona are simply too good and should be able to claim a comfortable victory.

Levante 0 – 3 Barcelona
