Aston Villa consider swapping attacker to sign Spanish goalkeeper

27th December 2015 by sarads

Carles Gil

Aston Villa are ready to swap Carles Gil in order to secure the services of Antonio Adan, according to reports from HITC.

It has been clear to see for quite a while that Aston Villa are in the market to sign a new goalkeeper and the likes of Salvatore Sirigu and Steven Mandanda have been mentioned as potential targets for the Midlands based outfit.

Recently, it was reported that Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan was also being considered by Villa manager Remi Garde and claims had been made that Villa were ready to splash £6million in order to secure the services of the former Real Madrid goalkeeper.

Now according to reports from HITC, Villa have seemingly come up with a clever plan to help their chances of signing Adan.

Betis are said to be interested in Villa star Carles Gil and the Premier League side are looking to use the interest to their advantage by facilitating a swap deal involving the playmaker and Adan during the January transfer window.
