Tottenham Hotspur plan to sign Barcelona legend

24th December 2015 by sarads

Dani Alves

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a shock swoop for Barcelona legend Dani Alves, according to reports from the Metro.

Tottenham Hotspur have made a fantastic improvement under manager Mauricio Pochettino this season and it certainly looks like Spurs will be able to finish in one of the Champions League positions on current form.

With the competition so fierce though, Tottenham most certainly cannot take anything for granted and Pochettino is expected to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window in order to give his side a better chance of a top four finish.

Signing a new striker to support Harry Kane has been seen as a priority for Tottenham but Pochettino is looking to strengthen other areas of the pitch as well and it has been claimed by the Metro that the Argentine manager is considering a shock move for Barcelona star Dani Alves.

Despite his advancing years, Alves remains one of the best full backs in the world and it has been claimed that Spurs are hopeful of tempting the Brazilian international to White Hart Lane in January.
