Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has told friends that he would be more than happy to join Chelsea next season, according to reports from Don Balon.
Following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Chelsea have move swiftly to appoint Guus HIddink as their new manager but given the fact that the Dutchman has been handed the reins till only the end of the current season, he is expected to be only a short term option.
The likes of Pep Guardiola, Juande Ramos and Manuel Pellegrini are just some of the names that have been linked with the managerial post at Chelsea but many believe that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is the favourite to take over.
Now as a huge boost to Chelsea’s pursuit of Simeone, it has been claimed by reports from Don Balon that the Atletico Madrid boss has told his close friends that he would be open to the idea of joining the Premier League giants next season.
