Duda’s fantastic first half finish was the main highlight in Malaga’s 2-2 Champions League draw against Anderlecht this evening. The winger’s brace extended his side’s unbeaten run in the competition and with qualification to the knock-out stages already done and dusted, Manuel Pellegrini’s side can take heart from this well-earned draw at La Rosaleda tonight.
The real spectacle of the match came just moments before the half-time whistle where an unmarked Duda picked the ball up on the edge of the Anderlecht penalty area and floated a perfectly angled shot over Silvio Proto in to the top left-hand corner of the net. Despite taking the lead however, it wasn’t long until the away side were level through Milan Jovanović. Duda gave his side the lead yet again on 61 minutes but Los Boquerones weren’t able to hold on and a late Anderlecht equaliser meant the shares were spoiled in this exciting Champions League match-up.
